Overview:
Coda Solutions Corporation is seeking a highly skilled ISSE Level 3 to support security architecture, authorization, and assessment activities across complex computing environments. The selected candidate will apply expertise in information assurance (IA), risk management, and system security engineering to ensure that security requirements are effectively defined, implemented, and enforced.
This role involves both technical assessments and integration of security functions into enterprise and enclave-level systems throughout the full engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with IA standards.
- Define, validate, and verify system security requirements and designs.
- Integrate IA/security into networking, computing, and enclave systems with varying classification and protection needs.
- Assist system architects and developers in embedding uniform security functionality in accordance with Agency policies.
- Build and support robust security architectures, including trusted relationships among external systems.
- Perform risk analysis, develop mitigation strategies, and support security planning and assessment activities.
- Review and contribute to certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation.
- Apply engineering expertise in:
- System integration and lifecycle security
- Cross-domain solutions
- Cryptography (COTS/GOTS)
- Access control and authentication
- Configuration/change management
- Auditing and incident handling
- Support system security authorization under NISCAP, DoD RMF, and NIST RMF frameworks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Twenty (20) years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- DoD 8570 IASAE Level III compliance is required.
- Must hold both the Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications.
