We are currently seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our team based in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis, functional analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Generate reports and present to Government counterparts, defense contractors, and other cross-functional organizations
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems
- Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, and/or machines
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship with an active US DoD Secret Security clearance is required
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years of related experience
- Strong background in mechanical design, analysis and environmental testing
- Ability to conduct trade studies and present results in written format
- Computer aided design experience using Solidworks or equivalent CAD packages
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Specialty Engineering Experience: Environmental and/or Safety.
- Experience with mechanical overhaul procedure development at the equipment and system level
- Experience conducting analysis of mechanical components and structures involving launch equipment
