Opportunity:

As a Network / Hardware Engineer, you will provide support, maintenance, configuration, and development for computer network systems. Provide technical assistance with the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of mission-critical network components. In addition, you will research and recommend specialized components to extend existing system and network capability or address new threats.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software, ensuring network security and integrity, monitor network performance, and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Maintain computer networking systems and components through the enterprise lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support of installed applications, WiFi, and services on TCP/IP
  • Configure and manage switches, routers, access points, servers.
  • Configure and support network storage, edge devices, and computing peripherals.
  • Perform firewall management, configuration, and integration.
  • Troubleshoot systems and networks - diagnose and resolve issues with computer systems and networks.
  • Participate in Hunt and Assess missions as required by operational needs.
  • Provide technical support services for mission-critical network components.
  • Investigate cyber threats and vulnerabilities to develop countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business functions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of network components, configurations, and maintenance activities.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • An active Secret clearance.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • BA/BS or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience planning, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining technologies.
  • Experience providing technical assistance with the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of mission-critical hardware components.
  • Expert-level proficiency and extensive experience with the following:
    • Maintaining, configuring, and developing computer network systems through the enterprise lifecycle.
    • Technical support of installed applications, WiFi, and services on TCP/IP.
    • Configuring and managing switches, routers, access points, and servers.
    • Configuring network storage, edge devices, and computing peripherals.
    • Firewall management and configuration.
    • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues with computer systems and networks.
    • Understanding and management of network security and hardware.
    • Virtual servers, cloud hosting, and internet connections.
    • Networking standards, protocols, and configuration management.
    • Scripting and programing languages , network visualization, diagraming.
    • Network design and architecture; maintaining detailed records of network components, configurations, and maintenance activities.
    • LAN / WAN / MAN /, gateways, bridges, and hubs.


Desired:
  • Network engineering industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.).
  • DoD 8570 IAT II or above certifications.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$103,800 - $218,100
