DevOps Engineer

Education

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent

Clearance

• Top Secret clearance preferred
• Willing to consider highly qualified candidates without a clearance

Position Overview

Work in a fast-paced environment to assist in migration and deployment of applications in an on-prem cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:

• Assisting application developers with deployments
• Standing up common services
• Recommending solutions for efficient hardware resource utilization
• Familiarity and experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tools and software is expected

Technical Requirements

• Experience with container technologies:
  
  • Docker, Kubernetes, containerd, etc.
• Experience with application deployment using CI/CD tools:
  
  • GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with monitoring tools:
  
  • Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Experience with storage provisioning:
  
  • OpenEBS, Gluster, etc.
  • Including data backup and restore
• Experience with Linux (CentOS desired)
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (both dynamic and compiled)
• Experience building automation tools for repetitive tasks
• Experience with metrics platforms (e.g., Elastic)

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and design
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment supporting rapidly changing requirements
