Job Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer / Systems Architect with extensive experience in Agile environments, system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in both Linux and Windows environments, cloud operations, DevOps practices, system integration, and CI/CD pipeline development. This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally, support deployments, and continuously improve systems for performance, resiliency, and scalability.
The Level 3 Devops Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

• Source Control & Versioning
  o Fluency with Git, including best practices for branching and merging strategies
  o Develop and maintain CM systems and version control processes
  
• Operating Systems & System Administration
  o Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8, RHCS, RHCE, CentOS)
  o Experience with Windows system administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and instrumentation
  o Maintain, upgrade, and patch documentation using tools like Confluence and Jira
  
• DevOps & CI/CD Pipeline

o Integrate Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployments
o Set up and configure continuous integration environments using CM, containers, and serverless technologies
o Build and maintain release pipelines for safe, efficient software delivery
o Automate deployments across development, testing, QA, and production environments

• Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization
  o 10+ years of experience managing and monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers
  o Work within Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
  o Experience with infrastructure automation using AWS, VMWare, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
  
• System Architecture & Software Development
  
  o 10+ years in system architecture, including reading and understanding code logic
  o Strong object-oriented programming skills in Ruby, Python, C, C++, Go, Java, or Perl
  o Experience designing and maintaining web service infrastructure
  o Ability to analyze large, complex systems to isolate and troubleshoot defects
  
  
• Catching, Databases, and Search
  o Experience with caching technologies: Memcache, ActiveMQ, Redis, APC
  o Strong knowledge of MySQL (clustering, replication, tuning)
  o Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana
  
• Agile & Team Collaboration

o 10+ years in Agile software development environments (non-educational)
o Serve as technical lead on Agile teams and participate in all ceremonies (planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives)
o Work effectively with developers, project managers, QA, support teams, and stakeholders

• Automation & Scripting

o Automate infrastructure using scripting languages: Python, Ruby, Perl, Java
o Proficient in automation and orchestration of network infrastructure using Software Defined Networking (SDN)
o Use tools like Puppet and Ansible to configure new sites and apps

• Monitoring, Performance & Reliability

o Proficient with DevOps and SRE methodologies
o Analyze service stack performance and recommend improvements
o Understand SLA requirements, high availability architectures, and performance optimization techniques

• Security & Compliance

o Knowledge of security best practices, networking protocols, firewalls, PCI compliance, and maintaining confidentiality of processed information

• Communication & Documentation

o Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
o Clear and precise verbal and written communication
o Communicate effectively across development and business teams to align goals and expectations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required in either Engineering (i. e. Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, etc.) or Computer Science
• Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience (excludes education experience such as Bachelor' s or master's degree in relevant field)
• This TTO requires the candidates polygraph to be within 5 years.
