Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Research Grants Administrator (RGA) for support at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT).
The contractor shall review research solicitations from Federal agencies including the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the National Science Foundation and others to recommend suitable funding opportunities for pursuit by engineering, science, and management faculty.

Responsibilities Include:
- The contractor shall serve as the Grants.gov and NSF Fastlane application workspace expert for AFIT/EN; inform relevant research funding opportunities to faculty; and administratively assist in the preparation of research proposals to potential sponsors.
- The contractor shall generate application-specific templates, guidance, and presentations to provide comprehensive support to faculty and staff.
- The contractor shall review proposals for compliance with Air Force and AFIT policies and forward to the Director of Sponsored Programs.
- High-priority and urgent proposal packages will be assigned to the contractor for expedited administrative processing.
- The contractor shall assist with proposal submission to potential DoD sponsor offices and maintain thorough and accurate records that contribute to AFIT/ENRS management reports.
- The contractor shall collect and compile information for the Graduate School’s annual Research Report, which includes preparing the initial draft, collaborating with AFIT/EN Departments and Centers to obtain verifiable data, performing review and revision, and facilitating publication after institutional approval.
- The contractor shall directly assist the Director of Sponsored Programs by providing support through data collection, faculty consultations, workshop support, and other related duties as requested.
- The contractor shall review data in the AFIT/EN Database (ENDB) to assist faculty and staff in project funding status.
- The contractor shall prepare quarterly Research Notes summarizing opportunities and including other information as requested by the Director of Sponsored Programs.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Personnel supporting this requirement must have and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Must be proficient in the following applications: Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Office Suite; and Microsoft Publisher.
- Must have at least one year of recent sponsored programs or sponsored research financial management experience.
