Responsible for managing the employee life cycle (i.e., recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and firing employees) and administering employee benefits. Provides advice on controversial, precedent-setting, and unusually difficult classification matters. Provides advice on interpretation of policies and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA in Human Resources.
- 6+ years demonstrated experience as HR generalist or business partner.
- 2+ years demonstrated leadership experience with direct reports
- Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Leadership skills and a passion for creating trustworthy relationships.
- Experience with the DOD, Federal, or Defense Industry sectors.
- Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP) or similar certification.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-related field.
-US citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Required Experience
- 5+ years HR generalist or business partner experience.
- Knowledge of HR regulations, practices, procedures, and programs.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and to organize workload to assure that short timelines are met given frequent interruptions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
