Job Description
CAT III Japanese linguist support services for U.S. Forces in the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility working with multinational forces. Will need to transcribe, translate, and interpret information gathered from a variety of sources to meet ongoing, new, or changing mission and operational requirements.
Applicant Requirements
1. A N1level rating on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is required.
2. 3-5 Years of previous translation experience required.
3. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and/or certification from an accredited institution or organization specializing in translation or interpretation.
4. Linguists must have demonstrated experience in supporting high-level military and government personnel in a variety of settings such as meetings, conferences, exercises, and negotiations.
5. Linguists must be proficient in providing both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services.
