Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Physician Assistant to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3-month on, 1-month off rotation cycle.

The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services.

Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.

Requirements:

Citizenship
  • All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders.
  • Sponsorship will not be available.

Education:
  • Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution, Bachelor's Degree in various domains of science and medicine, or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Certification:
  • Required certification will be based on country of candidates' licensure. (Credentialer to ensure all certifications based on country of licensure are met).
  • Current, valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

License:
  • Current, valid license and registered to practice as Physician Assistant (or the like based on title in country licensed) in own country or another UN member state.

Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent, relevant clinical experience in trained specialty.

English proficiency:
  • A minimum of Level B 2 is required.

This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.
