JOB AD: Licensed Practical Nurse

Introduction : Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for LPNs/LVNs to partner with us in providing temporary contracted medical care in communities throughout the United States. Today's posting will place you at the primary location of the GA. This opportunity allows employees to work with the federal government, offering competitive compensation and a strong work-life balance.

Location: United States, Georgia Department of Health

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree : Certificate. Graduation from a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program
  • Education : Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or another acceptable accreditation body outlined in the TO.
  • Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support :
  • Experience : 1-year current experience
  • Licensure : Current, unencumbered License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 6-8 hours per day
  • Able to distinguish between basic colors
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Have the strength to push and pull
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing
  • Advanced medical and anatomical skills
  • Knowledge of general surgery practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong motor skills and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and focused on stressful situations
  • Organizational and time management skills
