The Opportunity:
As a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer, you will be part of an Agile development team where you will support the design, development, modification, and evaluation of signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development systems, related software systems, and development environments for our Navy customer. You will work on cutting-edge projects that involve the development of innovative solutions for processing and analyzing digital signals in real-time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and practical experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for various applications.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,400 - $198,200

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and practical experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for various applications.
Responsibilities:
- Duties will include all aspects of software engineering, including: requirements analysis and specification software design, implementation and integration, testing, maintenance and installation.
- Design and develop advanced DSP algorithms for various applications, including audio processing, image processing, communications systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure efficient implementation of DSP algorithms on target platforms
- Collaborate with external teams to integrate our software products onto different environments
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications across distributed environments
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on DSP-related projects
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field
- 5 years of hands-on DSP software development experience to include X-Midas, software defined radios (SDR); signal recognition, modulation/demodulation, exploitation
- Strong proficiency in C, C++
- Understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and within agile team constructs to lead developers in fast paced, collaborative environments
- Strong documentation skills following templated formats for both informal and formal documents (Confluence, Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Proficiency in debugging issues and providing solutions in both high level and detailed format
- Active Top Secret/SCI DoD Security Clearance
Desired:
- Knowledge of Agile software development best practices
- Familiar with DSP hardware including Analog Devices, FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays)
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB
- Proficiency utilizing Linux based system (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, VxWorks)
- Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core design and/or real-time operating systems
