What We’re Looking For
As a Staff Accountant at CyberPoint, you'll play a critical role in our finance team, ensuring accuracy and accountability across a wide range of financial operations. From reconciling monthly balances to managing payroll and supporting audits, your expertise will help keep the company on solid financial ground as we grow and innovate in the cyber mission space.

This hybrid role offers flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with teammates in our Columbia, Maryland office.

What You'll Do

Core Accounting Responsibilities:

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with precision and timeliness
Prepare and post journal entries, including cash management and expense reports
Process semi-monthly payroll and 401(k) contributions
Reconcile and record monthly credit card transactions
Manage accounts payable and maintain accurate AP records
Conduct monthly unbilled analysis reconciliation
Timesheet and ERP Duties:

Import/export and reconcile employee timesheets
Maintain accurate Costpoint entries and timekeeping records
Support month-end close activities and financial reporting
Audit and Compliance:

Assist with internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with FAR and government contract requirements
Maintain purchase order and credit card authorization databases
Qualifications

What You’ll Need

U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
5+ years of accounting experience, with at lease 4 years in a government contracting environment
4+ years of hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint
Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and interpreting government contracts and
Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

Experience preparing financial statements and supporting budgeting
Familiarity with unbilled analysis of indirect rate applications
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
