Overview
The Computer Security Systems Engineer will support the RS3 Task Order for Modernization Support for All-Domain Sensing. The role involves ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and information assurance (IA) requirements. The candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to DoD and Army cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the field, strong knowledge of Army cybersecurity policies, and expertise in managing security clearance processes. This role requires a TS clearance.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity regulations, including DoD Directive 8140.01, DoDM 8140.03, and AR 25-2.
- Maintain certifications required for the role and ensure all systems meet IA compliance standards.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity plans, policies, and procedures.
- Design, implement, and monitor security measures for information systems.
- Ensure systems are protected against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
- Complete DoD Cybersecurity Awareness training prior to network access and annually thereafter.
- Ensure all personnel supporting cybersecurity/IT functions are appropriately certified within six months of appointment.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including Army Futures Command and Combatant Commands, to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
- Prepare and submit reports on cybersecurity status and compliance.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience with DoD and Army cybersecurity standards and practices.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and tools.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Must meet certification requirements for the role. Relevant certifications may include CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or equivalent.
- Must possess a TS security clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience with Army Training Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) and cybersecurity awareness training.
- Familiarity with Synchronized Pre-Deployment Operational Tracker (SPOT) for tracking contractor personnel.
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic communications and technical data briefings.
- Knowledge of human resources support systems such as IPPSA, EMPReS , and iPERMS
