Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer

The Judge Group is currently seeking a Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer to support a classified customer in Washington, DC. This position requires at least an active secret clearance and the ability to work onsite five days per week.

About the Role:

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure to support critical federal mission systems. You'll partner with multidisciplinary teams to drive cloud adoption, automation, and security in multi-cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring compliance with government standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance with eligibility for Top Secret
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or systems administration
• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, with strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, and identity (e.g., Virtual Networks, Azure DNS, VPN Gateway, Azure AD)
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and YAML/JSON
• Demonstrated experience guiding cloud teams and applying best practices across AWS and Azure
• Familiarity with compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST, DoD)
• Azure Solutions Architect certification or equivalent (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal or DoD cloud environments
• Familiarity with AKS, Azure Functions, and microservices architecture
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex cloud environments
• Experience integrating Azure with on-premises and hybrid systems
