This position, located in Stuttgart, Germany, supports multiple Department of Defense (DoD) customers throughout the African and European theater.
We are seeking an Asset Management Technician Lead to oversee IT asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management.
This role requires OCONUS travel and hands-on leadership in asset management operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Configuration and Asset Managers, providing direction, mentoring, and training as needed.
Oversee IT asset tracking across classified and unclassified domains, ensuring compliance with DoD policies.
Maintain an authoritative Asset Management Database and ensure data integrity within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Develop and enforce asset management policies and procedures, including acquisition, deployment, reallocation, and disposal processes.
Conduct on-site inventory assessments, identify obstacles to completion, and remove inefficiencies in asset tracking.
Coordinate financial, contractual, and inventory functions to facilitate seamless procurement processes.
Track, validate, and reconcile software licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.
Work with government stakeholders to maintain asset policies and identify opportunities for optimization.
Define and analyze key performance metrics related to asset management effectiveness.
Plan and execute audits, ensuring IT hardware and software assets are fully utilized.
Develop and maintain processes for supply chain risk management and operational logistics.
Provide remote support and travel to customer sites as required.
Research licensing models, product use rights, and entitlements for vendor-published software assets.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, delivering concise written and verbal reports.
Qualifications - Required:
Active Secret Clearance and Currently a US Citizen with the ability to maintain it.
BA/BS and 3 years of recent specialized experience OR AA/AS with 7 years of recent specialized experience OR major certification with 7 years of specialized experience OR 11 years of specialized experience.
CompTIA Net+ (IAT Level I or greater).
ITIL v4 - Foundation certification.
Experience leading Configuration Management and Asset Management teams in a Unified Command Environment.
Qualifications - Desired:
Experience with Microsoft SCCM and/or other automated reporting tools.
DoD 58070 IAT Level II certification.
Familiarity with Microsoft Enterprise Licensing.
Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
Understanding of Department of Defense military standards and IT security requirements.
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Experience managing assets to Critical Success Factors (CSF) standards.
