Special Security Technician (Deployed - Qatar)
Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly experienced Special Security Technician to provide critical support to the Security Officer (SSO) at the Combatant Forward Headquarters (CFH) in Doha, Qatar. This demanding role requires a commitment of six (6) days per week for twelve (12) hours per day. Prior to deployment, successful candidates must complete Combatant-specific SSO certifications in each security discipline and be deemed qualified by the Combatant SSO.
Responsibilities
Complete Combatant-specific SSO certifications in each security discipline and be deemed qualified by Combatant SSO one week prior to deployment.
Physically inspect and document findings for Combatant Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) accreditation to identify deficiencies affecting SCIF accreditations. Perform and maintain all annual SCIF inspection checklists.
Maintain and update SCIF TEMPEST Addendum and Fixed Facility Checklists to maintain SCIF accreditation.
Monitor the AMAG Intrusion Detection System/CCTV to control access and prevent unauthorized access.
Serve as the primary support for troubleshooting and resolving basic issues related to AMAG equipment. This includes receiving vendor-approved AMAG technical training covering critical troubleshooting and repair procedures for key components (DCU Node motherboard, NIC cards, and the cleaning, resetting, and replacement of cameras). Training records must be properly signed off upon completion.
Maintain and process exceptions to SCIF policy requests for the Combatant Forward Headquarters.
Brief and train proper command security practices for Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA).
Provide input into Combatant history reports.
Coordinate, track, document, brief, train, and issue courier authorizations in support of the Courier Authorization Program.
Coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery and pickup of classified material and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance for forward-deployed units.
Identify and analyze security vulnerabilities that necessitate remedial training in support of the Security Incident Program.
Coordinate and support the command Annual Clean Out Program, the Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM) Program, and other security-related programs for the Command.
Perform security in/out processing of personnel, weekly SCI Indoctrination briefings, and security debriefings for the Command.
In/out processing duties include: verifying security clearance eligibility, creating Personnel Security Folders, providing appropriate indoctrination paperwork, creating appropriate access badges with photos, and updating all security databases.
Schedule SCI indoctrination briefings as required and maintain data on security clearance investigation status.
Debrief personnel when the Need To Know is no longer required; terminate access to classified information, update all security databases, and reconcile Personnel Security Folders.
Receive input and process data, ensure data is current and accurate, and maintain databases used to process the security clearance levels of Foreign Nationals and their access to information and facilities.
Monitor and pass security clearances via DISS, DIA Record Message Traffic (RMT), or fax, and cross-reference multiple repository databases, including facilitating the transfer of records and information to Intelligence Community databases, supporting the Command.
Support the security clearance nomination process and assist with indoctrinations, permanent certifications, and the submission of Research/Re-certify/Upgrade (RRU) requests for all aspects of the Command Industrial Security Program.
Review, staff, process, and facilitate completion of taskers for the J2 Special Security Office.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Minimum of 17+ years of overall experience.
Master's degree.
Minimum of 12 years of operational experience in support of a combatant command.
Demonstrated experience in identifying deficiencies affecting SCIF accreditations.
