Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer Mid to join our team supporting the Program Office for Logistics Integrated Information Solutions – Marine Corps (LI2S-MC) in Stafford, VA. The Software Engineer will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.
The Software Engineer will design, develop, and manage software automated testing of a cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. Ensure the smooth functioning of the organization's testing infrastructure. Work closely with other IT professionals, such as developers, architects, and system administrators, to design, implement, and maintain interface functionality. Verify and Validate software applications, optimizes resources, and ensures data security and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Support LI2S-MC efforts to implement test automation efforts to include the establishment and management of an automated script baseline, identification of changes to the baseline based on approved modifications to the Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) software, implementation of changes to the automated scripts, and validation of baseline changes.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate test scripts for approved system changes, support test planning and execution, submit test incident reports, and develop and evaluate test results.
• Validate required interfaces interoperate with the systems, services, hardware, software, and data. The contractor shall update documentation for all internal and external interface changes.
• Validate daily, weekly, and periodic error handling framework (EHF) reports for reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, customizations, personalization, and workflows (RICECPW).
• Review and track interface errors and classify by the type of error and the Responsible Roles.
• Draft and assist the government in developing and maintaining internal and external agreements between PM LI2S-MC and other systems.
• Conduct analysis and validation of help desk tickets; support incident, problem management, and requirements management.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Six (6) years of direct work experience.
• DoDD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security plus certification).
• At least three (3) years of specialized experience on high visible or mission critical projects within DoD. Experience with Navy or Marine Corps programs preferred.
• Proven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) experienced user in running front and back-end user reports and queries, as well as knowledge in development data testing using Oracle SQL Developer , Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio, SOAPUI or other related tools.
• Testing requires knowledge of programming languages like Java, database systems like Oracle Database, and cloud infrastructure platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Knowledge on business applications applicable to DOD enterprises data supporting supply chain management and logistics
• Experience in system related solutions involving Oracle's EBS and Cloud applications in data management, and cybersecurity compliance, including participation in the design, development, execution, and testing
