Our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) center has an exciting opportunity for a Technical and Logistical Engineer providing Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile Defense Command (AMDC) System Subject Matter Expertise (SME). In this role, you'll support the Integrated Fires and Mission Command for the AMDC System.
LCE is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: reliability, system safety, and supportability
What You Will Do
In this role, you'll use your robust previous missile system engineering and technical skills, along with your knowledge of operator and maintainer tasks. Your extensive experience in system troubleshooting, hardware installation, and software execution will be crucial in solving weapon system problems at all levels of maintenance. As the AMDC Subject Matter Expert (SME) for hardware and software, and with experience in Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and Modification Work Order (MWO) development, you will be responsible for a broad scope of AMDC System Life Cycle engineering tasks.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

- Attending meetings with U.S. Government customers and coordinating activities at Patriot units
- Organizing meetings and activities in support of AMDC fielding activities
- Providing SME support for technical validations of logistical events such as New Equipment Training (NET), Technical Manual validations/verifications, and logistics demonstrations
- Evaluating technical manuals and training for accuracy by providing expertise and analyzing other supporting documentation
- Providing SME support to ECP and MWO development and updates
- Travel both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) is required for this position.
What You Will Learn
- The varied and challenging duties of this position will allow you to travel the world from your home base facility in support of the AMDC System.
- As a member of the AMDC team, you'll meet with Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilians at all levels to provide critical support for the installation of Army Modification Work Orders (MWOs) and troubleshooting complex system problems to directly assist our warfighters in field locations to ensure full mission readiness.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in reading and developing Modification Work Orders (MWOs), Life Cycle Logistics Plans, Modernization Fielding Plans, Defense Planning, or Tactical Planning at the Fire Unit, Battalion, or Brigade level
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience and proficiency in Windows 10/11 applications, with a strong focus on Microsoft Office products, including Word for drafting fielding documents, Excel for data collection and organization, and PowerPoint for creating presentations for key customer meetings at all levels.
- Experience with an Army Air Defense System.
- Ability and experience to manage facilities as needed and lead teams to achieve mission success.
- Familiarity with Interactive Authoring and Display Software (IADS) for viewing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
- Knowledge of the Army's wholesale and retail supply systems, readiness reporting system, maintenance concepts, or comparable DoD systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and present material to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
