The Military Trainer Position Supports the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, running White Cell exercises in support of:
- Military Intelligence Basic Officer Leaders Course
- Military Intelligence Captains Career Course
- 35F10 Intelligence Analyst
- Warrant Officer Training Branch
- 35G10 GEOINT Course
- NCO Academy (35F Advanced Leaders Course, SLC)
- One Army School System (Reserve, National Guard 35F’s)

The military trainer creates and executes comprehensive realistic Live, Virtual and Constructive based scenarios to train and evaluate military intelligence professionals' ability to exercise the Military Decision-Making Process. The exercises emphasize operations within a multi-discipline and multi-echelon Unified Land Warfare environment.

Military trainers generate predefined and dynamic based message traffic, personalities, background reports and finished intelligence products to portray aspects of the combat environment. They assist in authoring and implementing various military order sets, road to war documentation, activity timelines, Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs), charts, maps and associated overlays. Military trainers also function in various roles performing database updates, message routing design and verification, and conducting pre-exercise communication exercises, data management, entity control and determination, executing instructor driven operations, responding to requests for information, responding to instructor approved tasking and collection requests, and providing ad-hoc adjustments to facilitate the completion of training objectives.

Routine and non-routine tasks include: building complete solutions to support overall exercise objectives that supporting various military occupation specialties (MOS), programs of instruction and Training Support Packages that reflect tactics, trends, and procedures from on-going military operations; regularly perform order of battle research; create process documentation; operate one or more simulation and simulation support systems; conduct systems testing; modification of simulation databases and systems based on customer requirements; perform basic systems and software troubleshooting; prepare, maintain and distribute technical and user instructional documentation; develop and document systems requirements; detail problem resolutions; outline data inputs and outputs; define procedures to be followed; create user and email accounts on systems within the simulation center; perform system security and information assurance tasks to include scans; perform computer support activities; and perform related duties as required or assigned.

Military trainers typically work in a team, although some independent work is required in applying analysis techniques and procedures to implement simulation requirements for customers.

Military trainers do require some shift work.
