Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer User Support Specialist to provide Tier I and Tier II technical support to end users on Eglin AFB. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a classified environment, with a strong understanding of DoD security practices and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely and professional technical support to end users for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.

Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware in accordance with security policies.

Troubleshoot and resolve user access, connectivity, and account issues within secure environments.

Maintain user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.

Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in a ticketing system.

Coordinate with cybersecurity and system administration teams for escalated support needs.

Assist in the setup and support of classified systems and ensure compliance with DoD standards.

Provide support for video teleconferencing and other collaboration tools.

Perform periodic system updates and patching in coordination with cybersecurity guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance.

CompTIA Security+ CE certification (IAT Level II compliance).

2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Office Suite, and network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with DoD STIGs, RMF, and other security best practices.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting users in a DoD or Air Force environment.

Familiarity with Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing systems.

Knowledge of remote support tools and techniques.
