Raytheon an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Naval Shipboard Missile Systems Portfolio within Raytheon's Naval Power Strategic Business Unit, which focuses on Business-Critical production efforts within the Standard Missile Family of effectors. This role will be supporting two programs (SM-6 Blk IA / SM-2 Blk IIIC Production) with the primary responsibilities including collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing contractual guidance, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract executions.

What You Will Do
  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.
  • Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration.
  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise.
  • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
  • Some domestic travel as required.

  • Wide breadth of complex problem-solving experience in dynamic performance environment under U.S. Government Contracts.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration/ management, Program/Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or business management


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and equivalent U.S. Government regulations
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment with established company policies and procedures
  • Ability to partner with others, work in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
  • Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination
  • Active transferrable DoD Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
