Job Description:
Dedicated Systems Engineer to join our GATEKEPER team, deeply embedded with developers, QA, and DevOps engineers. In this role, you'll provide critical SDLC support for the GATEKEEPER product, working hands-on to build and manage product installations for our DoD customers. You'll ensure seamless systems engineering support throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, including post-deployment assistance and the creation of essential technical documentation like training materials, process flows, and architectural diagrams.
The Level 1 System Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:
• Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), collaborating with development and QA teams to assist with
o System testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness
o Ensure system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards
• Soft Skills: excellent oral and written communication skills-Able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.
o Comfortable in a team environment
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML
o Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures
• Knowledge of ICAM Capabilities and Integration
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements
• Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
• Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Windows operating systems (Linux would be desired as well)
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies and platforms
o AWS Foundational Level Certification
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 12 years.
