Job Description
Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Manager/Engineer to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through comprehensive testing and evaluation processes. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
This role supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) mission to deliver nuclear capabilities that Warfighters utilize daily for deterrence and assurance. AFNWC maintains and sustains war-winning nuclear capabilities to ensure operational readiness and effectiveness for assets worldwide. The Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3), conceived in 1979 and operational in 1990, remains a vital asset supporting NATO's nuclear deterrence mission.
The position encompasses support to Government personnel in various areas, including coordination, execution, status management, documentation and specification development, product development, testing, analyses, issue identification and resolution, and standards evaluation. Responsibilities include conducting studies, investigations, analyses, assessments, tests, and evaluations of military systems and components as required by AFNWC and driven by Warfighter requirements. The role also involves coordination and assistance with evaluation of WS3 programs and engineering assessment of items, including support with Government inspection, testing, development, and ongoing modifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Support development of test plan/metrics/parameters and interpret analysis and results while identifying necessary changes or modifications to test and evaluation program aspects.
- Perform materials characterization, non-destructive testing, and special environmental testing to reduce the risk associated with transitioning new design solutions into application.
- Review and provide technical recommendations to program test documentation.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, metrics, and parameters for various projects
- Interpret analysis results and identify necessary modifications to test programs
- Continuously improve testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with new design solutions
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce risks during the transition of designs into practical applications
- Provide technical recommendations and suggestions for improvement
- Prepare detailed reports on test results, including data analysis and conclusions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers
- Present test results and recommendations to stakeholders and management
- Participate in technical meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; Zero years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; from an ABET-accredited university
- Must have an active Secret Clearance and be able to maintain
- Experience reviewing and providing technical recommendations to program team
- Experience writing and communicating test documentation
- Proven track record in developing and executing test plans and procedures
