Top-Level Position Description
The Infrastructure Product Owner (IPO) serves as the key delivery lead for infrastructure-related initiatives, ensuring capability alignment across facility, cyber, comms, network, and hybrid-cloud systems. The IPO is a hands-on leader working across agile teams, government stakeholders, and technical SMEs to prioritize backlogs, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of mission-essential functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Product Owner for infrastructure-centric Agile product teams aligned with BGIF, OPIR TAP Lab, and OBAC sites.
  • Prioritize and manage product backlogs spanning network upgrades, cloud integration, facility changes, power/cooling investments, and IT modernization.
  • Coordinate directly with government leads, FFRDCs, SETA support, and BOSS contractor teams to balance mission impact, technical dependencies, and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives for infrastructure scrum teams.
  • Represent infrastructure priorities during Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, roadmap planning sessions, and transition milestone briefings.
  • Collaborate with Chief Systems Engineer, Facility Engineers, and Chief Architect to synchronize long-term investments.
  • Integrate cybersecurity, configuration management, and tenant support considerations into backlog grooming.
  • Lead or support response to contingencies, urgent requests, and taskers affecting infrastructure readiness.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the BGIF Maintenance Plan, Contingency Plan, and Configuration Management Compliance Plan.
  • Maintain alignment between on-prem and hybrid-cloud architectures (e.g., Platform One/Big Bang environments).
  • Prepare documentation, status reports, and decision briefs for SSC/SNGT leadership and tenant programs.

Job Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure, engineering, or program support environments
  • Proven track record leading Agile teams, preferably as Product Owner or Agile delivery lead
  • Strong familiarity with physical facility systems, mission network infrastructure, and IT environment integration
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and operational perspectives
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, business, or related field

Preferred Requirements
  • Prior experience with U.S. Space Force, Air Force, or other DoD infrastructure programs
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Manager certification
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and digital CM tools like Sunbird dcTrack
  • Background in facilities management, IT systems delivery, cyber accreditation, or engineering planning
  • Exposure to hybrid-cloud integration (IL-5/IL-6 environments), Platform One, and DoD DevSecOps practices
  • Experience developing transition strategies across facilities, systems, and contractor teams
