USINDOPACOM J44 PLANS AND OPERATION SUPPORT

Position Location: Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii

The USINDOPACOM J44 Plans and Operation Support position will support the J44 Engineering Division. Specifically, this position supports Assessment of Combat Readiness, and CONPLAN and OPLAN Assessment for the USINDOPACOM J44 to support the development of Joint engineer support plans and annexes, provide technical analysis for contingency, crisis action, and current operations planning, analyze current Joint engineer capabilities and identify engineer force structure shortfalls. The J44 Plans and Operations Support position will perform the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide analytical engineer assessments and recommendations for operational planning teams, crisis actions teams, and current operations activities.
- Conduct analysis of force laydown concepts to identify facility and engineering requirements needed to meet Joint operations effects.
- Analyze and provide recommendations to J44 senior leaders for the employment and conduct of engineer activities throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.
- Develop Joint engineer support plans that are integrated with USINDOPACOM family of plans (OPLANS, Theater Campaign Plan, Logistics Support Plan).
- Develop processes and business rules to track and assess engineer operations and activities throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.
- All other relevant job duties as assigned.

Degree/Education and Training Requirements

- Bachelor's degree but will consider associate's degree with an additional three (3) years of practical experience

Experience

- Possess experience with the development of Joint engineer support concepts and the coordination of future force laydown across the Indo-Pacific theater for all supported components including Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and other government organizations.
- Possess a working knowledge of the Pacific theater, and an understanding of the relationships and general interactions between each nation within.
- Operational and/or logistical experience in the Asia-Pacific Theater and supporting Theater Security Cooperation efforts (preferred).
- Knowledge of the operational and logistical support required for exercises, deployments, and mobilizations and familiar with TPFDD nomenclature
- 4+ years of relevant experience at Higher Headquarters organization (e.g. MAJCOM, equivalent, or above)

Core Skills/Competencies

- Experience with planning, synchronizing, and facilitating USINDOPACOM construction programs in support of the achievement of Joint effects and timelines as outlined in the Theater Posture Plan (TPP).
- Experience with providing analytical support for the development of Joint engineer force requirements related to the theater posture construction program, exercises, and contingency operations.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal communication.

Working Conditions

- Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus
- Travel may be required

Security Clearance Requirement

A TS/SCI Clearance is required for this position.

Estimated Compensation

$120,000 - $160,000.00

Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to employee's experience, skills, education, industry, location, company size, and overall market demand.
