Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics and Production Control Specialist to support our operations as a government contractor. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and products through the production cycle, overseeing shipping and receiving functions, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and government supply chain standards.

What You Will Do

Logistics & Production Control:
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor production and material flow to meet program deadlines.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate production status reports and communicate updates to management and customers.
  • Track work orders and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.


Shipping & Receiving:
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with government and company regulations.
  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments for damage, quantity, and accuracy.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to military or federal shipping standards (e.g., MIL-STD-129, DD1149).
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics partners to optimize delivery schedules and costs.


Compliance & Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, shipping manifests, and receiving logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations, including FAR/DFARS and ITAR.
  • Assist with audits, inventory counts, and government inspections as required.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 1 year of prior engineering experience. Experience in lieu of education can be substituted.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, production control, or supply chain within a government contracting environment.
  • Experience with government shipping regulations, logistics documentation, and inventory systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., RMES, TGIN, 3DX, RTime).


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Current/active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with government property management and handling of government-furnished equipment (GFE).
  • Certification in logistics a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSACAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
