ClearanceJobs is assisting our client, a U.S. Federal government IT supplier, with their search for an Account Engagement Specialist located in Albuquerque or Santa Fe, NM. This is an exciting opportunity develop the skills and knowledge needed to get your start in federal government sales and account management.
The Account Engagement Specialist supports federal clients by responding to contract-based opportunities, providing timely quotes, and managing client relationships. This is a high-volume, entry-level sales role with significant training and growth potential in the federal IT space.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for responding to opportunities arising from pre-existing contracts, serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, and providing timely quotes and information.
• Handle inbound calls/emails from federal clients
• Respond to RFQs, provide pricing & product info
• Build and manage client relationships
• Track contracts and support renewals/extensions
• Comfortable with cold calling and meeting quotas
Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED or an Associate Degree is required
• 1–3 years of sales or customer service experience (or a Bachelor’s Degree in lieu of experience)
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong communication, curiosity, and initiative. Culture fit is #1 criteria (see below)•
Preferred Skills:
• Recent college grads (Business/IT) preferred
• Federal sales or procurement experience a plus
• Knowledge of IT products or working with Value Added Resellers (VARs) like Dell, HP, or CDW
• Experience working in a fast-paced, quota-driven sales environment
