ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Cloud Engineer to join our Digital Practice. This is a Hybrid position located in Herndon, VA.
The Digital Practice provides end-to-end cloud solutions for workloads in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle, enhancing the Customer's mission through innovation, speed, agility, security, and resiliency.

The Digital Practice provides end-to-end cloud solutions for workloads in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle, enhancing the Customer's mission through innovation, speed, agility, security, and resiliency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, development and delivery of prototypes and cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize applications that leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
- Setting technical direction, mentoring development teams, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions.
- Assisting with solutioning for proposals
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field; an additional 6 years of technology experience might be substituted for a degree.
- 9+ years of experience in architecture or engineering with a focus on cloud technologies.
- Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google Cloud).
- Strong proficiency in cloud-native development frameworks, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or similar.
- Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and API gateways.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices, including identity management, encryption, and secure coding.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., CDK, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field.
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Developer.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with modern data processing frameworks and tools in the cloud (e.g., Kafka, Spark).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
