ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to support operations at the Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF) in Boulder, Colorado. This role provides enterprise-level systems engineering leadership across all mission-critical infrastructure, software, cyber, and integration activities supporting U.S. Space Force OPIR enterprise experimentation and operations. This position is contingent upon final contract award.

Top-Level Position Description
Responsible for leading systems engineering activities across all domains-architecture, integration, requirements, and verification-for the BGIF BOSS contract. Ensures cohesive system performance and engineering rigor in alignment with U.S. Space Force technical and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end systems engineering execution across infrastructure, software, cyber, and integration threads
- Develop, maintain, and control system architecture, interface specifications, and technical baselines
- Manage requirements decomposition, traceability, and system verification strategy
- Oversee system risk management and integration planning across Agile delivery teams
- Facilitate Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards
- Promote Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering practices
- Coordinate with Product Owners, facility teams, and stakeholders to ensure technical cohesion
- Mentor junior engineers and uphold engineering excellence across the enterprise
Job Requirements:
- Active TS and SCI clearable
- M.S. in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of systems engineering experience including 5 years software development with 5+ years in a technical leadership role
- Deep understanding of DoD and Space Force systems engineering frameworks
- Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw) and DoDAF/SysML modeling
- Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and digital engineering lifecycle practices
Preferred Requirements:
- INCOSE CSEP or equivalent systems engineering certification
- Background in mission systems integration and system-of-systems architecture
- Familiarity with BGIF systems, infrastructure dependencies, and PWS alignment
