ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Facility Engineer - Certified Electrician to support operations at the Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF) in Boulder, Colorado. This position is contingent upon final contract award.
Top-Level Position Description
The Facility Engineer (Certified Electrician) is responsible for ensuring safe, continuous, and resilient power infrastructure across classified and unclassified spaces within the BGIF. This role is critical in supporting 24/7 mission operations of U.S. Space Force programs including OPIR TAP Lab, FORGE, Resilient MW/MT, and other SSC tenants.

ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Facility Engineer - Certified Electrician to support operations at the Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF) in Boulder, Colorado. This position is contingent upon final contract award.
Top-Level Position Description
The Facility Engineer (Certified Electrician) is responsible for ensuring safe, continuous, and resilient power infrastructure across classified and unclassified spaces within the BGIF. This role is critical in supporting 24/7 mission operations of U.S. Space Force programs including OPIR TAP Lab, FORGE, Resilient MW/MT, and other SSC tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform facility power infrastructure operations, maintenance, inspections, and upgrades (generators, UPS systems, CRAC units, etc.).
- Respond to facility power or environmental contingencies within 30 minutes to restore full operations.
- Lead planned downtime activities and consolidate preventative maintenance schedules to minimize mission impact.
- Maintain electrical compliance documentation and contribute to the BGIF DCIM (Sunbird/dcTrack) system.
- Serve as the on-site electrical Subject Matter Expert for power restoration, safety inspections, and system upgrades.
- Support facility-level change tracking, redlines, and configuration management updates.
- Coordinate with Lockheed Martin and facility stakeholders to ensure safe and uninterrupted facility operation.
- Participate in the development and annual updates of the BGIF Maintenance and Contingency Plans.
- Conduct quarterly reporting on change status and facility performance metrics.
Job Requirements
- Current Active Secret clearance (Interim acceptable to start, must be able to obtain TS/SCI)
- Certified Electrician credential (state or equivalent)
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in commercial or mission-critical electrical infrastructure
- Experience with DoD facility environments and uptime-sensitive systems (e.g., server rooms, SCIFs)
- Familiarity with diesel generator systems, UPS, CRAC, switchgear, and commercial building power architecture
- Proficiency in interpreting facility schematics, one-lines, and electrical safety standards
- Ability to work on-site Monday-Friday, 0800-1600; participate in off-hours incident response
- Comfortable leading facility walkthroughs, audits, and inspections
- High School Diploma (HD) or GED required
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Air Force, or intelligence facilities
- OSHA-30, NFPA 70E training, or equivalent high-voltage safety certifications
- Familiarity with BGIF systems, Lockheed Martin facility processes, or dcTrack CM tools
- Experience contributing to technical reports, contingency playbooks, and safety compliance plans
- Demonstrated ability to operate within Agile, DevSecOps, or 24/7 mission-driven environments
