Position Summary:

This position specializes in Microsoft Windows systems administration, virtualization, system health monitoring, and vulnerability management. Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is seeking a System Administrator Lead to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES (Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions) contract. This position specializes in Microsoft Windows systems administration, virtualization, system health monitoring, and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative knowledge in both Windows and Linux environments, security compliance, and system automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialize in the administration and daily operations of Microsoft Windows environments
- Manage configuration and operation of physical and virtual servers
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot client-based computing systems
- Monitor systems and perform scanning, logging, and response activities
- Support routine and emergency maintenance of both hardware and software environments
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve system and user-side issues
- Maintain compliance with DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) guidelines through regular patching
- Update antivirus software and maintain configuration records for system and software changes
- Perform system health analysis for HYPER-V virtual environments, monitoring resource utilization and performance metrics
- Automate system tasks using scripting tools and languages
- Provide support for IT meetings and participate in system configuration and documentation processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Must have 6 or more years of directly related experience in systems administration
- Must have hands-on experience with Active Directory and its components (ADUC, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Must hold a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
Desired Qualifications:
- Have a Red Hat certification
- Have active Windows client and server certifications
- Proficiency in both Windows and Linux systems administration
- Hands-on experience with virtualization tools, specifically HYPER-V
- Familiarity with DevOps tools including CI/CD, Docker, Puppet, or Ansible
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and architecture
- Experience with system automation, provisioning, and configuration management tools
- Knowledge of scripting languages or software development for automation
- Experience hardening operating systems according to DISA STIG guidelines
- Experience working with SAN and NAS storage solutions
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 annually. Final compensation is based on location, experience, education, and directly relevant certifications
