Your Mission:
Join ClearPoint as a Building Technician where you will be responsible for the quality repairs and maintenance for a portfolio of properties. The portfolio is a small yet growing Real Estate portfolio consisting of commercial offices, mixed use, and residential locations on the Eastern Shore of MD with various tenants. Collaborate with leadership to assist in the improvement of the building operations through performing quality repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/tenants/etc to ensure the buildings achieve high quality standards and improve their surrounding communities.

- Skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting and life safety systems or similar trades
- Organized and able to communicate with internal and external parties while adhering to priorities and deadlines
- Maintains high quality standards and strong interpersonal skills
A day in the life:
- Performs preventative maintenance, necessary maintenance, and repairs to support owned buildings as needed
- Performs daily, monthly and annual property inspections and implements needed recommendations
- Creates, manages, and maintains preventative maintenance schedules including maintenance logs and records
- Respond to tenant requests in the areas of safety, plumbing, mechanical, painting/patching, electrical and environmental needs through both personal contact and work order systems
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests; troubleshoots issues to determine cause and solution
- Utilize and operate within selected property/facility/ticket management tools and applications as needed, ensuring documentation is updated, correct, and tickets are completed accurately and efficiently
What we are expecting from you:
- A High School degree or higher education
- General knowledge of building maintenance supported by a minimum of five (5) years of previous work in Engineering/Maintenance in a commercial real estate environment is desired
- Works well with others and has good communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen; Valid Driver's License, and US Citizenship required
- Working knowledge of all major mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of Building Codes and regulations
- Knowledge of and adheres to Federal, State, and OSHA regulations and guidelines
- Technical skills to support building-related equipment, perform maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting/patching/general carpentry, appliances, and other maintenance duties
- Proficient with tools and trade techniques
- Ability to routinely perform 24-hour on call and off hour duty including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between portfolio properties as needed
- Willing to work in adverse weather conditions
Nice to have:
- Vocational coursework in HVAC, electricity, plumbing or other relevant areas
- Electrical Journeyman's License is desired
- Electrical Master Electrician License is highly desired
- State Certified Journeyman's license or equivalent in fields of Plumbing or Carpentry
- Proficiency in Yardi Facility Manager, Construction Manager, and/or automated work order systems
- Ability to read trade related electrical, mechanical and plumbing drawings and internal wiring schematics
