AGL, an Akima company, is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Operations and Install Manager who will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing the installation and service of technical security system (TSS) equipment including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection. This role ensures that all projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to customer satisfaction, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, strong leadership, and strategic vision to deliver exceptional products and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial oversight of a team of project managers and technicians across multiple installation projects.
  • Implement standard operating procedures to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency.
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for field technicians and installation teams.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain metric data for quarterly and weekly project status reports as well as any special reports as requested by the Government.
  • Ensure installations are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot complex installation and integration issues.
  • Oversee day-to-day field and office operations related to installations and service calls.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency.
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for field technicians and installation teams.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Installation Oversight:
    • Coordinate and supervise the installation of security systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
    • Perform site surveys and work with sales and engineering teams to develop installation plans.
    • Ensure installations are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
    • Troubleshoot complex installation and integration issues.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, train, and support a team of technicians and installers.
    • Evaluate team performance and provide coaching, mentoring, and discipline as needed.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the installation phase.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
    • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and manage escalations effectively.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management:
    • Oversee inventory control and procurement of installation materials and equipment.
    • Maintain tools, test equipment, and vehicle readiness for installation crews.

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret clearance.
  • 5+ years experience in security system installation and operations, with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of technical security systems including CCTV, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and architectural drawings.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MicroSoft Office products, CADD, Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), CostPoint, Deltek
