TGG is seeking an executive-level speechwriter to support USSTRATCOM's Command Action Group (CAG) in the preparation of speechwriting, articles, remarks, talking points, and toasts designed to convey the Commander's or other senior leader intent. Products must be integrated to ensure consistency of Command messaging in all speeches, articles, remarks, talking points, toasts, and interim products, to include abstracts, outlines, and background information.

The speechwriter will be expected to prepare speeches for USSTRATCOM Senior Leadership with a general time line of 2-3 months in advance of keynote speaking engagements, change of command ceremonies, and retirement ceremonies. However, mission requirements may dictate shorter lead times on an ad hoc basis to respond to dynamic situations and evolving mission requirements. Expectations are that you will conduct research of the event and determine background information on location, attendees, and focus of event. Research shall include Internet search, personal and telephone interviews, reference books, and subject matter expert meetings.

You will also be responsible for preparing written articles for publication in local, national (including federal), or international periodicals such as professional journals, newspapers, magazines, or newsletters. These products may include products to be quickly published for response in next day's paper.

Required Education/Experience:

• The contractor shall possess minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in speechwriting expertise (minimum of 10 years' experience) at a senior level (elected officials, corporate leaders, General / Flag officers, appointed national leaders).
• Possess at minimum a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following degree fields: English, journalism, communications, history, or political science.

NOTE: Applicants require a Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access.

Additional Preferred Experience:

Contractor should have experience with international relations and have an understanding of the sentiments across the National Capital Region, the Components and Services, Congress, media, think tanks, and industry.
