Responsibilities
- This mechanic performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGSE.
- Inspects, tests, and operates AGSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
- Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid.
- Diagnoses mechanical and electronic malfunctions using visual methods, test equipment, and technical publications.
- Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls AGSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications.
- Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
- Tracks scheduled maintenance in customer software programs and completes all forms and records IAW service guidance and site policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- Must have previous automotive/truck/AGSE/aviation maintenance experience.
- Must have own tools and toolbox.
- Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate ground support equipment and operate a vehicle on the flight line.
- Will be required to be on a respirator program and pass a respirator/hexavalent chromium physical.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
