The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space's Mission Solutions business area is seeking a talented and dedicated Systems Engineer-IT to become a member of an Agile team focused on IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware) in the Whiskey Program Area.

• Be involved in Windows or Linux system administration
• Using scripts to automate server administration and deployment
• Complete system patching
• Support user interactions
• Design new capabilities
• Maintain networks and data storage to ensure maximum up-time for development and operations
• Demonstrate your great work ethic, communication skills, creativity and problem-solving skills to make a lasting difference.
This is a level 2, early career role where successful Applicants will:
• Typically possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience having received a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or additional experience/combined education in lieu of a degree.
Selected candidate must be a US Citizen. . This position will require obtaining a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, acceptable degree programs will include science and technology related programs such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics etc.
• Windows or Linux System Administration experience
• Cybersecurity concepts and tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI clearance (No clearance required to start)
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Windows System Administration experience
• Active Directory
• Windows patching, deployments, backups, and monitoring
• Powershell scripting
• ACAS, Nessus, Trelix scanning systems
• VMWare, AWS, OpenStack
• Network Equipment configuration
• Linux System Administration

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
