The Opportunity:
CACI needs a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Varonis security products. The SME, as part of the ELITE contract, is supporting EUCOM optimize and streamline the utilization of the Varonis platform within the targeted organization by implementing a comprehensive set of tasks focused on bolstering cybersecurity protocols within the organization, particularly focusing on alignment with the DoD Zero Trust (ZT) Initiative. Through the integration of Varonis technology and implementation of advanced scanning and analysis techniques, and support EUCOM efforts to enhance data security, mitigate risks of data spillage, and fortify defenses against emerging threats, including those posed by artificial intelligence (AI).

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and maintain the Varonis Data Security Platform to align with DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture and DISA STIG requirements.
- Integrate Varonis components (DatAdvantage, Data Classification Engine, DataPrivilege, and DataAnswers) with Active Directory, SharePoint, Windows file systems, and NetApp environments.
- Configure and tune alerting, data analytics, and reporting tools to detect insider threats, excessive privilege use, and policy violations.
- Support Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) initiatives through risk-based access enforcement and real-time behavioral analytics.
- Ensure RMF compliance, focusing on NIST SP 800-53 controls related to access control, audit logging, and risk assessments.
- Create dashboards and deliver automated and ad hoc reports to support FOIA requests, incident tracking, command cybersecurity posture, and operational planning.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, conduct platform health checks, and lead all Varonis-related technical support activities.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, and system owners to enforce least-privilege access policies and data protection measures.
Required:
- Minimum Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred),
- Security Certification (Sec+/CISSP, etc).
- Able to pass TESA with either a Bachelor's degree 3 years experience in a related area, or or an Associates Degree and 11 years of related work experience or High School Diploma and 11 years of related work experience
- Experience with DatAdvantage, Active Directory, Data file Mngt & handling requirements of PII & PHI
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Varonis in an enterprise or DoD environment.
- Strong understanding of Windows file systems, Active Directory, NAS (NetApp), and access control models.
- Experience in a DoD cybersecurity environment with working knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and ZTA.
- Proficient in PowerShell or similar scripting for automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with data classification, insider threat detection, and audit readiness.
- Robust understanding of data analytics, management principles & concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailed.
