RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide real-time meteorological support for MQ-9 RPA combat operations worldwide
- Develop and present mission execution forecasts (MEFs), briefings, graphical weather products, and written summaries
- Track and communicate hazardous weather conditions (e.g., lightning, icing) using tools like CAVOK
- Tailor and refine weather forecasts from other sources to meet operational mission needs
- Participate in Meteorological Conferences (MetCon) and maintain detailed pass-down logs
- Ensure compliance with USAF Records Management and perform quarterly MICT self-inspections
- Utilize weather tools such as Mark IV-B, AF-Webs, and Microsoft Office applications for data visualization and reporting
- Collaborate with aircrews, planners, senior leadership, and other weather offices to ensure seamless global mission continuity
- Mentor and guide junior forecasters under high-stress operational conditions
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified weather forecaster supporting Department of Defense operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational weather forecasting tools
- Familiarity with Air Force Weather Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP)
- Working knowledge of COMSEC, OPSEC, and COMPUSEC security principles
- Strong analytical, communication, and situational awareness skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a mission-critical, 24/7/365 environment
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP/SAP Network, NATO, and ACCM eligibility
- Experience supporting Overseas Contingency Operations or other deployed environments
- Prior work with 25 ATKG or MQ-9 mission sets
- Completion of advanced meteorological or operational forecasting training
- Familiarity with Wing Activity Reports (WARs) and Operations & Intelligence (O&I) briefings
