The Role
This is a sole-sourced, mid-level Database Administrator role at the heart of a vital national security mission with a team our client has maintained a strong, trusted relationship for over a decade. You'll be a central figure, working directly with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders - they empower their teams to directly influence critical national security missions, fostering an environment where innovation and expertise are respected. There's no middle layer to slow you down - just smart teammates, clear priorities, and real mission alignment. This isn't just about maintaining databases; it's about proactively shaping data flow and optimizing decision-making by ensuring teams have fast, accurate data.
This 100% onsite role in Laurel, MD offers salaries up to $180k, plus a $10k sign-on bonus paid within 30 days of starting. This is a HIGH-PRIORITY role with a fast-tracked hiring process (one interview + tech talk), so if you're looking for an immediate gig, this is your sign to apply!
What You'll Bring
- BS and 14+ years of professional experience in database engineering/administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle.
- In-depth knowledge of the Intelligence Community's mission objectives and how data directly supports strategic decision-making.
- A proactive and optimizing mindset, capable of fine-tuning queries, enhancing database security (hardening), implementing robust backup and recovery strategies, and ensuring seamless data access.
- Proven capacity to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
