R aytheon - Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is seeking an Associate Director, Deputy Program Management (PM) to support one of our premier programs in the Space, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (S-ISR ) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

What You Will Do
  • Lead all facets of program execution
  • Interface with and lead Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) and Mission Solution Managers
  • M ultidisciplinary team leadership, internal and external program reviews, and program development through direct customer engagement, proposal preparation, supplier management, program management status reporting, and generation of work authorizations, statements of work (SOWs), and specifications
  • P roduce proposals for new programs and for out-of-scope efforts to the program baseline
  • De fine program tasking/milestones and monitor adherence to program budgets, plans, and schedules
  • D irect the performance of program task elements such as engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, and administrative functions in the execution of required gate reviews and financial activities as well as program execution
  • Travel to support business engagements


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (STEM preferred) and 12 years of relevant experience (to include: program management, capture management, etc)
  • Experience supporting US government customers
  • E xperience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Estimate at Completions (EACs) , etc
  • Experience engaging and reporting out to all levels of executive stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite resources
  • Experience supporting software development processes/applications (to include: IPTL, leading agile development, etc.)
  • Experience leading proposal activity
  • E xperience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, and/or administrative functions
  • An a ctive and transferable TS/SCI level U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance (a Full Scope Poly level clearance will be required after onboarding to maintain program access)


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in satellite Mission Management/Mission Planning
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to facilitate teamwork across functions
  • Program Management Level-4 Certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategy
  • Oversight and monitoring of supplier performance; develop preventive and corrective actions as necessary

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
