Cyber Security Engineer II

The Opportunity

The Cyber Security Engineer II will be responsible for implementing and maintaining advanced security solutions to protect the organization's networks, systems, and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the required government policy, artifacts, make recommendations on process tailoring, and collaborate with team-members to reach secure outcomes.
• Lead / coordinate security reviews and assessments with the customer regarding the applicable system deployment of security controls.
• Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Lead / coordinate the implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, such as Authorization and Assessment items, including but not limited to, documenting, and maintaining System Security Plans, Plan of Actions and Milestones, and Continuous Monitoring.
• Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
• Lead / coordinate the establishment of strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supporting obtaining authorization and assessment of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
• Lead / assist in the performing analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Support multiple security requirements within diverse program environments.
