- Own the CI/CD and container pipeline (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Docker/Podman); define gates for unit tests, SAST/DAST, SBOM, and STIG checks.
- Chair change-control boards, publish release notes, and navigate Authority-to-Operate (ATO) approvals under DoD RMF/NIST 800-53.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents by deep-diving SQL query plans, logs, and performance metrics (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK).
- Maintain living system documentation (Confluence, UML, ADRs) and lead quarterly knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Influence cross-vendor teams without direct authority, driving consensus on architecture and delivery timelines.
Minimum qualifications
- 7 + years software engineering experience with at least 2 + years in a lead or release-management role.
- Proficiency in modern web stacks (JavaScript or TypeScript plus React or Angular) and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MS SQL).

Preferred qualifications
- Prior work supporting Air Force, NASA, or other aerospace/defense R&D programs.
- Expertise with GraphQL APIs, Kubernetes, Helm, or Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible).
- Familiarity with performance-monitoring stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, OpenSearch/ELK).
- Track record guiding multi-vendor teams using Agile/Scrum or Kanban in a distributed setting.
