ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Information Systems and Data Analyst to join our team in Herndon, VA .
As a Logistics Information Systems and Data Analyst you will lead the integration and implementation of Logistic Common Operating Picture tools for situational awareness and decision support for logistics personnel, enabling them to optimize resources, advise commanders, and support decisions related to distribution networks, procurements, positioning of supplies and equipment and:

As a Logistics Information Systems and Data Analyst you will lead the integration and implementation of Logistic Common Operating Picture tools for situational awareness and decision support for logistics personnel, enabling them to optimize resources, advise commanders, and support decisions related to distribution networks, procurements, positioning of supplies and equipment and:
- Optimizing distribution networks: Identify the most efficient routes and methods for delivering supplies.
- Supporting procurements: Ensure that the right quantities of supplies are ordered and that they are available when needed.
- Positioning supplies and equipment: Determine the best locations for storing and deploying supplies and equipment.
- Advising or influencing the operational commander: Provide the operational commander with a clear picture of the logistics situation, enabling them to make more informed decisions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical Acumen: Develop a LOGCOP visualization and tracking of movements of troops and equipment globally (Air, Sea, or Ground), creating Keyhole Markle Language (KMLs) products and overlays, over critical terrain, or critical infrastructure or facilities, and managing all the logistics operations and functions critical for maintaining combat capabilities of the U.S. forces in an Area of Operations to include but not limited to the collection and distribution of logistic services from food, petroleum base products, distribution of critical equipment and munitions, and maintenance support.
- Manage logistical systems and data sources to be fully operational and provide systems updates as needed. These logistic systems and data sources reside on the several Internet Protocol Router which are: Unclassified (NIPR), Classified (SIPR), Releasable Systems and Classified NON-Releasable or FVEY). Additionally CENTRIXS-J and K, IMN, MPE, and BICES.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Provide logistic analysis, metric information, and actionable logistic information systems updates. Report logistic service status of critical Class V, Class III and Class I and other classes of supply as needed for decision making and identify critical information on logistic systems need for mission accomplishment.
- This position requires travel to client sites 100% of the time, including overnight and extended stays as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years managing logistic data sources and critical logistics information systems supporting multiple COCOMs (CENTCOM, EUCOM, INODPACOM/USFK).
- Direct experience with Global Combat Systems Marine Corps (GCCS-M), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), Navy Air Maintenances Reporting Systems (NAVAIR), Logistics Information Management System Air Forces (LIMS), and the accountability and status of Army Preposition Equipment (APS), Afloat Preposition Equipment and other logistics reporting systems to include MAVEN Smart System (Palantir), ADVANA, LOGCOP, Google Earth, AFATDS, JADOCS, TAIS.
- Military Knowledge: Familiarity with military supply chains, deployment procedures, and unique requirements for transporting sensitive or hazardous materials.
- Technology Acumen: Proficiency in overseeing the implementation of supply chain and operations management software, data analytics tools and cyber security to optimize efficiency and track shipments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Education, Military Operational / Strategic Studies or applicable technical field
- Graduate from military operational or strategic planning course (Command and Staff or an Advanced Warfighting School)
- Certification, experience, and or training with ADVANA and a Data Analytics Platform (e.g. QLIK).
- Experience as military logistics information systems professional capable of tracking logistic data that includes Transportation Services, Munitions Distribution, Fuel, Energy, and Commercial use of host nation logistics capabilities.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
