PPC seeks an experienced Network Engineer to support a full-time on-site position in Colorado Springs, CO supporting USSF Space Systems Command Rapid Reaction Branch. The candidate will create, manage, and sustain mission systems networks and network support systems. The supported unit fields quick reaction capabilities for various Combatant Commands.

Candidate will support on-site network communication solutions architecture development. Candidate will be responsible for configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Network and infrastructure solutions. Developing Network System Automation strategies. Candidate will interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment.
-Network Protocol Analysis
-Create parsers to process TCP/IP suite of protocols
-Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment
-Provide engineering level documentation to enable testing and reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
-Active TS/SCI security clearance REQUIRED
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
-5+ years’ experience in network solutions design and integration.
-5+ in C/C++ programing
-Python development experience
-Strong Network programming/troubleshooting skills in Juniper and Cisco switches, firewalls, and Routers.
-Experience with Automation Tools and strategies including Ansible Scripting knowledge or at a minimum basic Linux knowledge
-Demonstrated ability to understand enterprise level networks
-Comfortable configuring networks to include IP schemes and basic troubleshooting.
-Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast‐paced environment and incorporate them into deployment strategies.
-Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in an agile work environment.
-Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations.
-Ability to capture technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form.
Preferred Qual:
-Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
-10 years’ experience in C/C++ programming
-10 years’ experience developing with the TCP/IP suite of protocols
-High degree of competence with Wireshark.
-Developing at the Linux Kernel level
-Experience with cloud computing and remote systems (REST-ful Architectures).
-Experience developing with Docker containers.
-Enthusiasm and interest in keeping up with trends/research in networking transports /protocols.
-Ability to approach classical problems with new ideas and innovation
-Security Plus Certification
-Understanding of basic wireless communication
-Advanced network troubleshooting experience
This position is contingent upon contract award.
