What will you be doing?
You will support the requirements of the 33 Cyber Operations Squadron (33 COS) in efforts to provide incident response on alerts from systems newly aligned to the Air Force Cyber Security Support Provider (CSSP)
Functioning as a Cyber Defense Analyst Specialist - Jr responsible for the cybersecurity of a program, organization, system, or enclave. Provide guidance for security systems, evaluates networks for security vulnerabilities, manages anti-virus and firewall systems, and conducts computer patch management, intrusion detection, and data encryption

What will you be doing?

Functioning as a Cyber Defense Analyst Specialist - Jr responsible for the cybersecurity of a program, organization, system, or enclave. Provide guidance for security systems, evaluates networks for security vulnerabilities, manages anti-virus and firewall systems, and conducts computer patch management, intrusion detection, and data encryption
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the collection of intrusion artifacts (security plan, incident response plan, topology and Hardware/Software list) using discovered data to enable mitigation of potential Computer Network Defense incidents within the enterprise; coordinate with and provide expert technical support to enterprise-wide Computer Network Defense technicians to resolve Computer Network Defense incidents.
- When directed by the Government Lead, assist in remediation of system vulnerabilities via documentation.
- Serve as technical expert and liaison to external incident responder personnel and brief incident details as necessary
- Assist in the determination of the roles/responsibilities between the Air Force CSSP and the system owner ensuring vital cybersecurity activities are accomplished to protect the AFIN.
- Cloud-specific detection content and signature creation
- DevSecOps for CI/CD in cloud-native environments
- SOAR playbook customization for cloud incidents
- Alerting and triage for cloud-native telemetry (AS&W)
- Cloud traffic analysis, threat correlation, and packet inspection (when available)
- Vulnerability scanning for cloud workloads, containers, and serverless assets
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ Years relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field
- 8140/DCWF Certification
- Linux security experience
- Knowledge of Cloud technology such as AWS / Azure
- IAT level II Certification
- CSSP Infrastructure Support certification desired
- Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with potential for higher read-ins
- Understanding in eMass and accreditation packages used by the DoD
