CACI is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).

Key Responsibilities

Database Engineer - Journeyman :

  • Design, develop, maintain , and optimize SQL Server databases to meet the evolving needs of our applications and systems.


  • Provide support to development teams in database-related matters such as creating complex procedures or tables to view or manipulate the data within the database and return it for development use.


  • Perform database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.


  • Collaborate with team to gather requirements and translate them into database solutions.


  • Create/update database documentation and support security measures needed within the database.


  • Experience in SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL programming and scripting.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).


  • Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).


  • Knowledge of Windows Server environments.


  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention issues.


  • Full understanding of the flow down of Interface Design Documents to Database Data Definitions.


Required Skills :

  • Current Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain TS is required .


  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, to include thorough technical documentation.


  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant work experience.


  • Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II or IAM Level I


  • Self-reliant to learn and understand new technologies and new features of existing technologies.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$68,400-$143,700
