Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Journeyman, COMSEC Technician to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the C2IP COMSEC processes in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains Communication Security (COMSEC) equipment and materials, in support of Army COMSEC services


  • Performs key management and distribution for cryptographic systems


  • Conducts inventories of COMSEC assets and maintains accurate records


  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots COMSEC devices and systems


  • Ensures compliance with COMSEC policies, procedures, and regulations


  • Provides COMSEC training to other personnel


  • Assists in the development and implementation of COMSEC plans and SOPs


  • Monitors and reports on COMSEC-related incidents or violations


  • Coordinates with other security personnel and IT staff on communications security matters


  • Performs destruction of classified COMSEC materials when required


  • Participates in COMSEC-related audits and inspections


  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments


  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems


Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active secret level clearance


  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field


  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects


  • 5+ years' experience


  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise


  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$68,400-$143,700
