Lockheed Martin National Space Systems is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Space Operations Analytics team of Contracts Professionals. You will manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, mitigate risk, and support successful program outcomes. This position requires a strong background in US Government contracting.
The preference for the successful candidate is to be located in either Herndon, VA or Denver, CO. This position requires full-time on site presence.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience with contract negotiations or administration of U.S. Government contracts.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently on complex contractual matters.
- You will need to be a US Citizen, and have a TS clearance to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug a background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to persuade and motivate action
- Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification is a plus
- Experience with multiple contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPAF/IF, T&M).
- Knowledge of and experience with acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR)
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Experience with building strong, positive customer relationships
- Experience with special access programs
- SCI eligible and ability to pass a polygraph exam.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years of professional experience with a Masters degree.
- Experience collaboratively interfacing with diverse disciplines such as Program Management or Engineering or Finance or Supply Chain or Property or Business Development or any related area

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
