We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Systems Engineer - Mission Management (MM) Product Owner supporting one of our premier programs and where your knowledge with regards to your Product Owner experience, providing capability and feature designs to the software engineering team in support of agile development will be put to good use. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do
  • Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
  • Provide capability and feature designs to the mission management software engineering team in support of agile development
  • Represent the organization in matters pertaining to the development of project activity
  • Provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the program's test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation
  • Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline
  • Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program
  • Active and transferrable TS/SCI U.S. government issued clearance is required prior to start date


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Product Owner experience on a large-scale software government contract, within the Mission Management domain and experience with the Atlassian resource suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment and being part of a highly integrated team working closely with SW, Integration and Verification teams
  • Experience in some or all systems engineering functions including operations concept development, system and product design, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with all levels of the organization, including Government Customer, IPT leadership, Technical Leads, Chief Engineers, and System Architects
  • Experience communicating status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including Raytheon senior management, customers, and major subcontractors as well as experience managing multiple concurrent project deliverables with competing deadlines
  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of
  • Scrum Master experience
  • Current Product Owner certification
  • Experience working in a software development environment
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience in development of test architecture / framework
  • Systems Engineering process development and deployment experience
  • Experience overseeing and/or leading Systems Engineering teams
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools/platforms such as Cameo EA, and/or similar resources

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
