The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the landscaping maintenance and upkeep of Keesler AFB grounds.

Responsibilities

  • Use zero-turn riding mowers to cut grass
  • Use weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance finishing work
  • Use chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees
  • Care for flower beds, shrubs, and trees
  • Perform general grounds policing for leaves, litter, and other clean up
  • Perform other related grounds upkeep duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Two years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade
  • Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade
  • Possess a valid Mississippi Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain a position of public trust

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience performing similar work on a military base
